Antique Home Old Town MHD, Ocean Views, Shopping
Marblehead, MA, United States
This Saltbox-style antique wooden home was originally constructed in 1750. This dwelling originally served as a shoe factory, with its owners residing above the shop. Several individuals have owned it since, including the Chapman family, who had a direct connection to Johnny Appleseed. Its unique Saltbox design allows for refreshing summer breezes and occasional glimpses of the Atlantic Ocean. The home is located in the heart of Old Town Marblehead, walkable to local shops and restaurants.

Other Details to Note
It's worth noting that due to its nearly 300-year history, the house may contain energies that some people are sensitive to. Over a 25-year period, there have been three benign sightings of a cobbler in a leather apron, all occurring in the master bedroom. While encounters with the apparition are exceedingly rare, you might occasionally hear faint noises or even distant voices in another room. Could it be your family? Perhaps, or perhaps not. Since it is an old building, we advise our guests to be wary of using too many electronic devices at once (ie. multiple hair dryers) as you could trip a circuit breaker. Also, since it is an antique home, the stairs can be a bit steep and windy.
